During our twenty minute discussion, we will decide what you would like to learn about your family history.
- We’ll determine a manageable goal.
- Decide on the desired format for the final results.
- Establish how many hours of expertise you would like to purchase.
Contract
After our discussion, Find Your Family will draft a contract specifying the goals of the project and the estimated time it will require. If you are satisfied with the terms, we will both sign the document and you will purchase the desired block of time. You must pay in advance for our services.
Competitive Rates
Our rates are very competitive, particularly when compared to some of the national genealogy services.
We charge $30 per hour, in blocks of ten hours. So, for instance, 10 hours for $300, 20 hours for $600, etc. You will select the amount of time you would like to purchase based on the size of your project as discussed in our initial consultation and as specified in our signed contract.
If Find Your Family completes the project in less time, we will refund for the unused hours. If the project requires more time, you may decide whether or not to purchase another block of time. It’s up to you!
There may be other costs, such as documents that are available only for an additional fee. We will not order any such documents or incur other expenses without your written permission.
